The Tulare Sci-Fi Con is excited to host the 2nd Annual Hanford Heroclix Open (H2O) gaming tournament sponsored and managed by DJ Collectables of Hanford.
.
Nestled in Central California we would like to invite Heroclix players everywhere to our H20 ROC Super Qualifier. This super qualifier will be held at the Tulare Sci-Fi Con. The convention is held at: International Agri-Center 4500 South Laspina Street Tulare CA 93274 Event Date: March 7-8, 2015
.
A General Admission charge will be collected by the Tulare Sci-Fi Con at the gate which benefit's the "Make The World A Better Place Foundation" which benefits Social Services programs for Homeless Children and their families.

Main Event:

TCGplayer.com Realms Open Championship Super Qualifier Event

Format: 300 Points, Modern Age, "NO "Tactics or Entity Possession" and "Double base or smaller
Start Time: 10:30 am
Event Structure: Swiss w/ cut
Entry Fee: 25.00

Registration at 10:30am, Play will be 4-6 swiss rounds (dependent on the amount of players), Top 16 will be played on March 8, 2015.

Top 16 must play same team that they played on the first day.

*AvX months 1-4 maps
*WOL months 1-6 maps
*OP kit/Fast Forces/Starter Maps from: Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool, Slosh, Invincible Ironman, AvX, WaTX, Teen Titans, Amazing Spider-man, Batman, Streets of Gotham.
*Movie starter set maps from: Thor Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America Winter Soldier, Man of Steel.
*Scenario pack maps from Fear Itself and WOL.

Both Sides of Maps can be used. Orange text will NOT be active. Current BANNED MAPS are the AVX Moon map and the WOL Space map, Players can bring three maps for tournament play. They are specific to individual sides and must be listed on player build sheet.

2nd - LE Convention Exclusive, Map
20 points, set of dice and 2 tokens, "Super Q Top 8" ROC hat, Choice of a remaining Prize Con LE

3rd/4th - 10 points, set of dice and 2 tokens + map, "Super Q Top 8" ROC hat, Choice of a remaining Prize Con LE. Choice of Ebay or Gas Gift Card.

5th - 8th - 5 points, set of dice and 2 tokens + map, "Super Q Top 8" ROC hat, Two Available Heroclix Boosters, Available OP/LE figures

9th - 16th - 3 points, set of dice and 2 tokens, Two available Heroclix Booster

17th - 32nd - 2 points, set of dice and 2 tokens

All participants who pre-register for the Main-Event by March 2, 2015 will received three free raffle tickets. Raffle will be held between each round of the main event and through the top 16 rounds. Prizes for the raffle currently include gas cards, ebay gift cards, convention exclusives, Heroclix carrying cases, and other TBA prizes. The tickets will be sold at the event for $3 a ticket (Must be present to win).

Co-Main Event:

March 8, 2015, 1030 am, Cost for entry $10
400 points, Silver Age (Marvel/Dc only), No figure larger than a 2x2 base. 4-5 rounds of Swiss play. Top 8 will played after Swiss rounds.

Map list for this event is the same as the Main event but there is no map ban. Orange text will be active but "Not for tournament Play" special text will not be active on the maps.

Winner of the Co-Main event will received a $25 dollar gas card, Old Man Logan convention exclusive, and other TBA prizing!!

2nd Place will receive two available Heroclix boosters and an available OP or LE figure.

3rd-4th place will receive a single available Heroclix booster or choice of an available OP/Le figure.

The "King of the Mountain" Battle Royale will be held March 7 and March 8th.
$10 buy in/Player will receive a booster pack.

Battle Royals will began after a four man pod is achieved.

Points for participation (1 point) and winning a battle royal (3 points) will be given at the end of each battle royal.

The overall point winner of both days will receive a ROC map and a convention exclusive !!( Must be present to win and will be prized on March 8th)

Notes:

For those who are going to be making the trip to central California for our event we would like to provide some information on the where you can stay.

We recommend staying in the area of 99 and Prosperity. This is about 3 miles north of our venue and is off of the 99 freeway which will make it easy to find. There are an array of hotels and motels ranging from $50-$94 dollars a night. Within the half mile radius of this area there are 9 hotels. Also this is located near a shopping center and a variety of dining to include everything from fast food to Chili's/Applbee's type restaurants. Here are the hotels/motels in the area....
